CONSTRUCTION
Compared to traditional construction – which uses masonry or reinforced concrete in some cases, prefab- ricated construction has numerous advantages:
1- Faster construction: with the parts already ready and you only need to assemble them, the work time ends up reducing. On average, a prefab home is ready up to 40% faster. In addition, in more distant locations or with limited access, the use of precast reduces the delay caused by the transport and delivery of materi- als.
2- Less waste: the use of pre-molded parts reduces the generation of rubble, since the pieces are made to measure and used in full in the construction.
3- Sustainability: reduction of water use in construc- tion, since many inputs are dispensed with the use of parts.
4- Fixed cost: while traditional masonry has very variable costs, prefabricated construction has a fixed cost, determined at the beginning of the project according to the layout, dimensions, quantity and type of parts needed. In some cases, only finishing and finishing costs are not included, and may vary accord- ing to the suppliers and materials chosen.
5- Customization: the prefabricated pieces work almost like a jigsaw puzzle. Thus, it is possible to think of infinite layouts, sizes and forms of use, all according to the needs of the future owner. If a couple with two children has one more, for example, it is easy and quick to add another room to the house, without the need to break walls or carry out structural assessments of the property for a renovation.
